Yukti Stay helps holiday-rental hosts answer their guests. This page explains what we keep, why, for how long, and who helps us run the service. Yukti Stay is run by Yukti (yuktiapp.in), India.
Two kinds of people use Yukti Stay
Hosts sign in with Google and write a house manual, add contacts and create guest links. For hosts' own details we are the controller.
Guests open a private link their host sent them. For guest details the host is the controller and we process them on the host's behalf, only to run the guest guide and chat.
What we keep
- Host account: name, email and photo from Google sign-in; a phone number if you add one for WhatsApp alerts; your plan and payments (card details stay with Razorpay, never with us).
- What hosts write: the house manual, photos, uploaded house books (page images are kept only if you attach them to a section; the rest is deleted within 7 days), contacts and escalation rules.
- Stays: the guest's name and dates as the host entered them, and the private link.
- Guest chat: the questions a guest asks, the answers, problems reported and alerts sent about them, and the day-2 check if the guest answers it.
- Usage: counts such as questions answered and pages opened, to run and improve the service.
How long
- A stay, its chat, problems and alerts are deleted 90 days after check-out.
- Questions the manual couldn't answer are kept, without the guest's name, so the host can add the answer.
- A host's account and everything in it are deleted when the host deletes the account or asks us to.
Who helps us run it
- Microsoft Azure (India and United States): hosting, database, file storage, email (Azure Communication Services, data in India) and the AI that answers guests and reads house books (Azure OpenAI). Azure OpenAI doesn't use our data to train models.
- Google Firebase: host sign-in and browser notifications.
- Meta (WhatsApp): alerts to hosts and their contacts who choose WhatsApp.
- Razorpay: payments for the Host plan.
AI answers
Guest answers are written by an AI model from the host's house manual. We tell the model to answer only from the manual, and we remove phone numbers that aren't in it, but an answer can still be wrong. In an emergency, guests should call the local emergency number shown on the page.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, or object to how we use it. Guests: write to your host first, or to us and we'll pass it on. Hosts: delete data in the app or write to us. If you're in the EU or UK you can also complain to your data protection authority.
